WHAT IS THE AFRICAN MUSIC AND CULTURAL FESTIVAL?

The African Music and Cultural Festival (AMCF) is Australia’s largest and longest-running free celebration of African culture, bringing together over 40 African countries in a single, vibrant event. Founded in 2014, the festival provides a platform to showcase the richness, diversity and dynamism of African music, food, art, fashion, film and community.

AMCF is driven by the values of inclusion, representation and unity, creating a safe and joyful space where African-Australians and the wider public can engage, learn and celebrate together. Held annually at Fed Square in Melbourne, AMCF continues to grow as a nationally recognised cultural event supported by all levels of government, corporate sponsors, and the African diaspora community.
